The formation of the culture of a generation occurs when turning to artistic values that are accumulated by society in the course of its entire existence. When a person has knowledge of all types of art, he can understand and be aware of these values.
Classification of the arts
Kinds of art are historically established forms of creative activity that have the ability to realize life content. They differ in the ways of material incarnation. For example: in music - sounds, literature - words, in fine arts - plastic and coloristic materials.
There is a certain scheme for the classification of arts, dividing it into three groups:
- spatial and plastic views: fine and decorative arts, photography and architecture;
- dynamic and temporary views: literature and music;
- spatio-temporal types: choreography, theatrical art, cinematography.
Such a variety of types is due to the fact that each art separately cannot provide a comprehensive artistic picture of the world. And the whole artistic culture as a whole creates just such a picture.
Characteristics of the arts
Architecture is an art form, the purpose of which is to create buildings necessary for human life. These buildings must meet the spiritual needs of a person. Architecture is able to integrate with other types of art: painting, sculpture, decorative arts. Architectural works are more expressive than pictorial.
Fine art is creativity that reproduces visually perceived reality. The results of this type of art have an object form that does not change in space and time.
Painting is a fine art on a plane, which, with the help of various colors applied to a certain surface, depicts the world in reality, transformed only by the artist's creative imagination.
Sculpture is a fine art in space, representing the world in plastic images. The main materials used in sculpture are marble, wood, stone, bronze, steel, plastic and concrete.
Decorative and applied art is a creative activity for the creation of household items that are designed to meet the artistic and aesthetic needs of a person. Material for creating an object of this art can be wood, metal, clay, stone and bone.
Literature is an art in which the word is the bearer of imagery. Literature specializes in historical phenomena. It is a very lively, mobile art system, very sensitive to all changes in life.
Music is an art in which musical sounds serve as a means of embodying artistic images. The main elements and expressive means of this art are: rhythm, tempo, dynamics, timbre, melody, polyphony and harmony. Music expresses emotional experience through sounds, which are based on the different intonations of human speech.
Choreography is the art of movement and posture of the human body, meaningful and organized in space and time. Dance at all times has been associated with the life and everyday life of people, therefore, each dance is inherent in the character and spirit of the people from whom it originated.
