The word "art" came to the Russian language from English back in the days of the Soviet Union. Art is art, more often this word is used specifically for modern creative works. Now more about the concepts of art parties and art shows.
How it all began
The word "art" today has a somewhat pretentious, fashionable connotation, which misleads inexperienced intellectuals. This is due to the fact that many representatives of "pseudo-art" demonstrate their creativity, calling it "art".
Meanwhile, it should be noted that art parties and art shows have appeared for a long time. Only earlier these phenomena had other names, namely bohemia, modern intelligentsia, literary evenings, etc.
This phenomenon is well demonstrated by the 20th century. At that time, few people liked the activities of the futurists, but from a modern point of view, their communities can be safely called art parties, and the performances of art shows (suffice it to recall Mayakovsky).
The word "art" began to be used back in the USSR, when informal art began to emerge little by little. So representatives of this trend challenged the public using a foreign word.
Art parties
The word "tusovka" has a frivolous meaning and means a gathering for an exchange of views and various discussions. It is not surprising that this particular word has come to be combined with contemporary art. Real contemporary art is a challenge to the commonplace and the replacement of established norms with informality.
An art scene in the modern sense can have several meanings. In general, because of these several meanings, a general confusion arises, since it is not clear what exactly to call an art get-together.
In a broad sense, the art-gathering includes all active workers of contemporary art who are not only engaged in creativity, but also take part in special projects.
In turn, the projects themselves are also sometimes called an art get-together. The key project in Russia, founded back in 1996, is considered to be Art-Moscow. The project is an annual fair of contemporary art, which provides an opportunity for new talented personalities to be realized.
However, it would be more correct to dwell on the understanding of the art scene as a layer of society that deals with contemporary art.
Art show
The art show is interpreted by modern dictionaries as a very striking artistic performance. But even this concept is already outdated. Undoubtedly, there are these performances on the art show, including, but at the moment this concept has expanded.
COSMOSCOW in Moscow has always been considered an ordinary fair, but the organizers at one of the press conferences named their project an art show. Subsequently, all other exhibitions were called art shows.
This means that modernity puts its meaning in the concept. An art show is any presentation and visual presentation of art to the public.
The epicenter of events
Any art get-together needs a space where you can get together for various events and discuss art trends. The most famous cultural center in Russia is currently called "Loft Project Etazhi".
Also, any member of the art community knows the annual international London exhibition Frieze. This fair can be safely called an art show; every year it gets more and more significant position.
