Olga Bgan was born in Chisinau on November 25, 1936 in a family of ideological communists. The eldest children in the family were named Decree and Era, little Olga passed such a fate.
Olga Bgan played her first film role at the age of 19. It was a small episode in the film "Behind a Department Store Window". The next year she was offered the lead role in the film by Vasily Ordynsky "A Man Is Born". Lyudmila Gurchenko also auditioned for this role, but the artistic council did not approve her.
