The biography of Evgeny Alekseevich Kiselev is similar in its ornate plot to Arabic fairy tales. A native of Moscow was born in 1954. The family of a major engineer who was engaged in rocketry lived in abundance. The child grew up and developed in an environment where they ate well and discussed the pressing problems of the universe. Already from an early school age, the boy was distinguished by a broad outlook and quick wit. I studied well at school with in-depth study of English. He easily memorized poetry, and knew the names of all capitals on the world map. The exact sciences - mathematics and physics - simply did not interest him.
In those days, the School of Young Orientalists was functioning at Moscow State University. After the first visits, Eugene realized that it was here that his field of activity in life began. It is quite natural that he received higher education at the institute of the countries of Asia and Africa. During his studies, Kiselev, in addition to English, mastered the Persian language as part of the curriculum. According to the current regulations, the student spent a year on an internship in Iran. He saw with his own eyes how this mysterious country lives and develops.
Graduated in Orientalist historian, he was drafted into the army. He spent two years in Afghanistan. He worked as a translator for the military advisers unit. After serving the due date, Kiselev returns to his native land, and he is invited to teach. The invitation came from the Higher Courses of the KGB. Evgeny Kiselev's career as a TV presenter and journalist developed without any particular obstacles. Old TV companies changed their broadcasting format. New ones were created in the order of fire. Kiselev tried his hand at different roles. He worked as a presenter in the program "Morning" and "Vesti" on RTR. He shot an interesting film about Israel, showing this state from a perspective unusual for the Russian viewer.
Evgeny demonstrated good organizational skills when creating the NTV television company. For almost a year he worked as CEO. This was followed by the transition to the TV-6 Moscow channel.
