In order not to get into an unpleasant situation, the buyer should have an idea of where, in which region, the products were actually produced. There are two ways to determine the country of origin of a product.

- - product barcode;
- - a table of the ratio of barcodes and countries.

Step 1
Option one
Consider the product barcode printed on the packaging. It contains information about the country of origin. Find the first three digits indicated in the barcode, this will be a link to the region where the product was created.
Step 2
Check the barcode versus country of origin table. The number opposite the country is the first three (in some cases two) digits of the barcode. Here is a list of countries whose products are found most often in Russia:

Step 3
Option two
As a buyer, you can request from the seller the necessary accompanying documents for the product. The seller has no right to refuse your request, in accordance with the provisions of the Russian law "On Protection of Consumer Rights". The country of origin must be indicated in the sales documents.
