Most of the male population of Russia under 27 years old with bated breath awaits the onset of spring and autumn calls, starting in early April and October. Some take loans to bribe or find many fictitious diseases that are examined from year to year, while more conscientious guys are looking for an opportunity to legally get a deferment from the army or a military ID.

Step 1
Federal Law No. 53-FZ of 28.03.1998 "On Military Duty and Military Service" by Articles 24 and 25 establishes a complete list of deferrals from conscription and grounds for exemption from service. Delays can be given for a period of 6 months until reaching the age of 27, so that those who received the latter can also breathe freely. There remains only the danger of losing it due to the disappearance of the cause or changes in the legislation. Non-serious diseases and examinations can postpone the likelihood of conscription for six months, mild hypertension and some other reasons for a year. All of them must be officially confirmed by a medical certificate written by a specialist doctor and certified by the seal of the medical institution. Together with other acts of examination of more serious ailments of conscripts, the paramedic of the military commissariat department sends them to the military medical commission, which makes a decision on the postponement or exemption from military service.
Step 2
Young men who take care of sick close relatives receive a reprieve, if there is no one else to take care of them - until the onset of 27 years of age or the disappearance of the reason (death or recovery). Also, the guardian of a minor child or his father, if there is no mother, will not have to go to the army. Young families with two or more children will not lose their breadwinner, and the father of a disabled young child will receive a reprieve until they reach 3 years of age. She also relies on citizens of draft age who have one child and a pregnant wife, who must take a certificate from the antenatal clinic that her pregnancy is more than 26 weeks. Firefighters, customs officers and other employees of state structures specified in clause 3 of Art. 24 of the Federal Law No. 53, but if they are dismissed before the age of 27, they will be drafted.
Step 3
Schoolchildren and students will be able to complete their education and receive a diploma, and schoolchildren who graduate from it at the age of 18 and manage to get into the army on time will receive a deferral for admission to a school, technical school or university, even if they do not have such an intention. Those who are expelled will be called up, even if they again enter another educational institution. If a conscript does not fall under any of the listed items and is in excellent health, but fundamentally does not want to take up arms, he can apply for alternative civilian service, but it must be written no later than six months before conscription. Those who have served in the army of other states and received Russian citizenship become owners of its military cards. Young men whose close relatives died during military service or later from wounds received during military service, as well as for a more positive reason - having an academic degree, are not called up. And the last reason is an outstanding conviction, as well as the status of a suspect in a criminal investigation.
