A male citizen of the Russian Federation of 18-27 years old is obliged to undergo military service in the army. This is indicated in article 22, paragraph "a" of the Federal Law "On conscription and military service." But some manage to avoid military service. If you are already 27 years old, you can come to the military registration and enlistment office and get a military ID.
What is a military ID?
A military card is issued to all citizens of the Russian Federation liable for military service in the course of their service in the Armed Forces, or issued if they are enrolled in the reserve, as well as upon legal exemption from it. As soon as the age of a man reaches 27 years old, the military registration and enlistment office is obliged to issue him a military ID. Steps to take when obtaining a military ID
In order for a citizen to be removed from military registration, his age must reach 27 years. This is confirmed by a birth certificate and passport. Their copies are in the personal file of the conscript. It is believed that a citizen has reached the age of 27 only after the expiration of the day on which his birthday fell.
If you are going to pick up a military ID, you need to write a statement in duplicate, in which there will be a requirement to obtain a ticket on the basis of clause a 1 of Article 22 of the Federal Law on Airborne and Armed Forces.
The application is made in any form addressed to the military commander of the military registration and enlistment office.
An employee of the commissariat is obliged to register your application, sign it and put the current date. One copy remains with the citizen receiving the ticket. The draft board approves the decision to issue a ticket, and this decision must be implemented within ten working days from the date of its issuance.
Very often, such a procedure is delayed, and the case may go to court. Therefore, a properly executed application will come in handy in the event of a solution to the problem.

What you need to have with you to get a military ID
To issue a ticket, you will need the following documents, which will be carefully checked at the military registration and enlistment office:
- passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation;
- two black and white photographs on matte paper. The image must be made with a white background and no corner. Their size is 25 * 20 mm;
- a certificate of secondary education, if such exists. Original and copy provided;
- diploma (if any) about secondary and higher education. Original and copy required;
- original with a copy of the driver's license (if any);
- photocopies of passport pages: 2, 3 and 5 pages, photocopied on one sheet.
