It is customary to call a military card a document that is issued to a citizen when he is called up for military service in the army. However, not all young people have a clear idea of what it is really needed for and how its absence can affect the further life of a strong half of humanity.
First of all, a military ID is required for employment to work. Indeed, many employers simply refuse to hire citizens who do not have this document. By the way, such actions on the part of the authorities are considered completely legal. In addition, not every employer wants to become an intermediary in clarifying the relationship between the military registration and enlistment office and the conscript. Of course, you can also find a job without a military ID, but it will be very difficult to get a good position.
You should also have a military ID to obtain a foreign passport and, accordingly, travel abroad. It is worth noting that in order to register a military passport, a young man aged 18 to 26, in addition to the standard package of documents, must also provide his own military ID to the district department of the Federal Migration Service of the Russian Federation. However, after reaching the age of 27, there is no need to present this document for a passport at all.
Finally, a military ID is required for the legal registration of a driver's license and permission to purchase weapons. This fact is explained by the fact that in order to obtain such documents, you need to have a medical certificate with a mandatory mark of a psychiatrist. It is generally accepted that a medical examination by a psychiatrist is impossible without a military ID. However, modern legislation does not oblige a psychiatrist to provide it.
Thus, it becomes absolutely clear that a military ID is the main document that can be used even instead of a passport in case of its loss. After all, representatives of the stronger sex, who do not have this document, very often face restrictions on various areas of activity.
Required documents for obtaining a military ID
To issue a military ID, you should have the following list of documents with you when you appear at the military registration and enlistment office: an application addressed to the military registration and enlistment office with a request to issue a military ID; two photographs 2, 5 by 3, 5 centimeters; a photocopy of 2, 3 and 5 pages of the passport; copy and original of educational document and driver's license, if any; also, a medical certificate sheet.
How to write an application for a military ID
As a rule, the application is drawn up in two copies, and the first copy must be accompanied by copies of all necessary documents. Then, the application goes to the office of the military registration and enlistment office. The second copy must have a receipt note, which indicates the date, position and initials of the employee who received these documents.
