In some situations, it will be quite appropriate to present yourself in poetic form. Usually such a presentation is memorable and impressive, especially if done correctly. However, in spite of some subtleties, this is a feasible matter.

suitable poem, pen, paper
Instructions
Step 1
First, choose a poem that would work for the occasion. Keep in mind that praising yourself, comparing yourself to the greats, etc., is simply bad form. The poem should describe some trait of your character, worldview, attitude. The very idea of introducing yourself in poetry is somewhat pretentious (if other participants in the event are not going to do this), and therefore success directly depends on the penetration and correctness of the selected poem.
Step 2
If you don't find anything suitable, write the verses yourself. First, decide on the idea of / u200b / u200bthe work - what you are going to write about, then with its intonation and rhythm (the number of syllables and the location of the stresses falling on them). Find the rhyme that fits the meaning. Try to avoid inaccurate and verbal rhymes, it always looks very unprofessional (example: getting up, tired, boots, low shoes).
Step 3
Practice reciting poetry at home in front of a mirror. Read them loudly, your voice should sound somewhat louder than during normal conversation. Try to read with expression, pronounce all sounds clearly. You should not swallow the words at the end of the sentence, they should be heard clearly, and therefore take in more air before long lines.
Step 4
You will most likely need a short introduction to prepare the listener for the performance in poetic form. It should be one, maximum two introductory phrases. For example, a short greeting and message that you are about to read the verses. If the verses do not clearly describe / represent you, a small sentence should be included in the introductory speech to clarify the connection between you and the selected poem.
Step 5
Be confident when speaking to an audience. To suppress your anxiety, take a couple of deep breaths in and out. Do not look into people's faces, look at the walls or over their heads (from the stage).
