In 1994, a young woman temporarily left the sport due to marriage and pregnancy. And then came the triumphant 1996, which marked the Olympic Games in Atlanta. It was there, at distances of 800 meters and 1.5 kilometers, that our heroine received the highest awards and glorified Russia forever.
And it does not matter that at the 2000 Olympics in Sydney, the athlete was no longer able to defend her titles due to health problems.
