One of the brightest Russian athletes of our time, Sergei Semak, belongs to the galaxy of great domestic football players. This man managed to become the champion of the country as part of three football clubs, and scored his first goal in the Major League at the age of seventeen. His captain's armband at Euro 2008 became a real symbol of the will to win, because then Russia won the title award in the most prestigious European tournament, becoming the bronze medalist.
Brief biography and career of Sergei Semak
In the village of Sychansk, Lugansk region, on February 27, 1976, Sergey Semak was born into a large football family. The future idol of millions of domestic boys grew up with four brothers, two of whom, like their father, devoted their lives to football. But only our hero managed to achieve such impressive career results.
Under the leadership of Valery Belokobylsky, Sergey graduated from the Lugansk School of the Olympic Reserve. And he crowned his secondary education at school with a gold medal. The promising young footballer quickly changed his first football club Krasnaya Presnya to FC Asmaral, in which he scored the first goal in his debut match with FC Zhemchuzhina. This ball became a landmark for Sergei, because very few managed to do it at the age of 18.
In 1994, Semak already played for CSKA, thus serving his military service. After demobilization, there were short-term training camps at Torpedo and the final transfer to CSKA. Here, for ten years, the footballer certainly appeared in the starting lineup and scored 84 goals. The Russian Cup (2001/2002), the National Championship (2003) and the Russian Super Cup (2004) were added to his collection of titles.
In 2005, Sergei Semak moved to the French Ligue - 1 as part of Paris Saint-Germain, but it did not work out there. And now the next year FC "Moscow" became the football player's own club. Two seasons here were also successful for Sergey. Having scored his hundredth goal to the former club, he entered the elite of national football. And then (seasons 2008-2010) there was a successful game in Kazan Rubin and a transfer to FC Zenit (St. Petersburg).
And in 2011, in a game with CSKA, an outstanding footballer received a fatal injury - a fracture of the metatarsal bone. And then there was a relapse and the end of a football player's career in 2013. The transition to coaching as part of Zenit (assistant head coach) took place immediately after leaving the team as a player. He worked as assistant coach under Luciano Spalletti, Fabio Capello and Leonid Slutsky, and played eight matches as head coach during their replacement.
At the end of 2016, the football country recognized the new head coach of FC Ufa. The team's sixth place in the 2017/2018 season allowed it to participate in the qualification of the prestigious tournament of the Old World - the Europa League.
The personal life of a football player
The first marriage with Svetlana, which lasted for ten years, brought the parents the birth of their son Ilya. Even after parting, the couple managed to maintain friendly relations.
During his performance in Paris, Sergei Semak met his second wife, Anna, with whom he still lives. In this happy marriage, they had daughters Varvara and Ilaria, sons Semyon, Ivan and Savva. In addition, the adopted daughter Tatiana and the daughter from Anna's first marriage, Maya, are being brought up in the family.
