A chance meeting with the Mongolian party leader Yumzhagiin Tsedenbal, who came to Russia, determined her entire fate.

Biography

Anastasia Ivanovna Filatova was born in 1920 in the town of Sapozhok, Ryazan region. The times were not easy, alarming, but Nastya was a brave girl and she went through all the difficulties easily. She graduated from high school and wanted to go to Moscow, but the war broke out.

It was also Nastya's personal tragedy: she escorted Dmitry's fiancé to the front. She waited for him from the war almost like a legal husband, but he sent a letter that he fell in love with another and got married. For a long time the girl was worried about this betrayal, but the war didn’t bring such "surprises", so in general her personal grief seemed not so great.

After the war, Nastya went to Moscow, received an education, but did not work in her specialty, but went along the Komsomol line. She purposefully pursued her career and soon reached a fairly high status: she took the post of secretary of the Komsomol organization in the Ministry of Trade.

Fateful acquaintance

Then Anastasia lived in a communal apartment, and Nikolai Vazhin settled next to her - he then worked as the USSR ambassador to Mongolia. Nastya and Nikolai had friendly relations, they went to visit each other, and one day Nikolai brought Yumzhagiin Tsedenbal, who was the general secretary of the Mongolian People's Revolutionary Party Central Committee, to his place.

Despite his high post, Yumjagiin was a simple man. He was born into a family of poor nomads and never hid it. In this way, she and Nastya were similar, and therefore quickly found a common language. The Mongolian party leader spoke excellent Russian, adored Russian literature and culture.

He told Vazhnov that Nastya made a very strong impression on him, and then an interesting story began. The marriage of Tsedenbala and Filatova was approved at the very top, the young people quickly got married and left for Ulan Bator.

Personal life

Judging by the photographs, Anastasia was happy with Yumzhagin, and he simply adored her. They had two sons, they lived together.

And in 1952, Tsedenbal became the head of the republic instead of the deceased Choibalsan. Now their family has moved to a government mansion with all the benefits attached.

However, all these delegations, summits, receptions led to the fact that Tsedenbal began to abuse alcohol, and Filatova had to lead instead. I must say that she coped well with the duties of a husband, and under her people began to live much better than under the previous ruler.

Factories began to be built in Mongolia, infrastructure developed rapidly, and the standard of living of ordinary people improved. Anastasia Ivanovna paid a lot of attention to children: she opened palaces of pioneers and special schools, built kindergartens. And she made sure that no one knew about her husband's problems.

However, sooner or later everything is revealed, and Moscow decided that Mongolia needed another ruler. The Filatova family moved to the capital, losing all the privileges and luxury in which they lived.

The nineties hit them hard - they became practically poor. In 1991, Yumzhaigin died, in 1999 the eldest son died. In 2001, Anastasia Ivanovna passed away.

In memory of her help to the children, a former orphanage who became an athlete erected a monument to Filatova in Ulan Bator at his own expense.
