Step 1

Serve the term determined by the court, after which it is possible to file a petition for parole (Article 79 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). This period cannot be less than 6 months (25 years for those sentenced to life imprisonment).

- remorse of the convicted person;

- employment of a convicted person;

- attitude to learning;

- attitude towards compulsory treatment (clause 4.1. article 79 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation);

- lack of applicable disciplinary sanctions;

- preliminary solution of issues of labor and household arrangement;

- conditions for serving a sentence (ordinary, strict or lightweight);

- the presence and maintenance of socially useful ties (as a rule, these are ties with family, relatives, other persons);

- the relationship of the convict with the staff of the institution and other convicts;

- participation in the cultural, mass, sports life of the institution.

Solve the issue of labor and household arrangements after release.

Write and send a petition.

According to Art. 175 of the RF PEC, the convicted person has the right to apply for parole through the administration of the institution or through a lawyer (representative).
