According to some experts, figure skating takes a position between art and sport. There is a healthy dose of meaning in this statement. The Russian figure skating school occupies a leading position in the world arena. One of the brightest representatives of this school is Ilya Averbukh.
The famous figure skater, director and TV presenter, organizer of the ice show Ilya Izyaslavich Averbukh was born on December 18, 1973 in an intelligent family. Parents lived in Moscow. His father worked as an engineer, and his mother worked as a music worker in kindergarten. A child from an early age was brought up in a favorable environment. They did not shout at him and threatened him with a belt. Ilya was taught to be accurate and wanted to introduce him to music. The boy flatly refused musical education, and agreed to go to figure skating.
In the biography of the famous skater, it is noted that he started skating at the age of five. It's a bit late by today's standards. Little Ilyusha was even "rejected" at first. But thanks to the persistence of my mother, everything was settled. The first coach guided Averbukh towards single skating. A few years later, when the boy's puberty began, he grew by more than 10 cm in one summer. The coaching staff had to transfer him to pair skating and look for a partner.
Successes and achievements
His sports career began with the dance duet Anisina-Averbukh. The couple took the top step of the podium twice at the World Junior Championships. But, as often happens, the partners did not agree. The next tandem Lobachev-Averbukh performed successfully for several years. Moreover, the partners became husband and wife. After the destruction of the USSR, famous athletes were not in demand on their native ice. In 1995, they were offered a contract with good conditions in America.
Overseas, the partners learned how figure skating professionals live. Ilya Averbukh and his partner experienced the insidiousness of sports fate on their own experience. In preparation for the 2000 Winter Olympics, Lobacheva injured her knee joint. The restoration of sports form lasted more than a year. At the final stage, the couple won silver at the 2002 Winter Olympics. A year later, they became European champions and the next season took second place at the World Championships. And after that they returned to Russian soil.
Show and personal life
After leaving big sports, Averbukh decided to continue working on the ice and took up creativity. He decided to stage theatrical performances on ice. The idea is not new, but always in demand by the audience. There was a lot of work to be done. "Ice Symphony" attracted the attention of spectators, critics and journalists. After a successful debut, the following programs followed - "Together and Forever", "Ascent", "Stars on Ice".
The personal life of Ilya Averbukh suddenly cracked. At some point, the husband and wife, partners in ice dancing, decided to leave. Procedures of this kind always cause annoyance and bewilderment among fans. When love is destroyed, what good is it. They say that the spouses maintain friendly relations.
