Sergei Medvedev was born in the port city of Kaliningrad in 1958. From childhood, he was firmly convinced that his life would be connected with the film industry. Immediately after leaving school, the young man, without hesitation, decided to enter the Faculty of Journalism at Moscow State University. In parallel with his main studies, Medvedev graduated from higher economic courses at the State Planning Committee of the USSR and immediately went to work in the Committee on Television. At the USSR State Television and Radio Broadcasting, he edited reports, created essays from different parts of the country.

In 1995, he headed the post of Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation and became an assistant to Boris Yeltsin. After 2 years, Sergei returned to television and began to work as deputy general director of the ORT channel, but here he did not last long. In 1997, he was offered a position in the Public Relations Department of RAO UES.
