On the one hand, it's good that the actors are also not indifferent to politics. On the other hand, it is also wrong to see only the bad in the relations that existed between the Soviet republics. So implicitly, however, society and art are closely intertwined.

Biography

The future actor and public figure Andris Yurovich Lielais was born in Riga in 1957. His family lived right next to the Daugava River, and children from the surrounding houses swam in this river and played on the bank. Andris's childhood was interesting, joyful. And when he became a teenager, an event occurred in his life that determined his entire future destiny: he starred in the film Republic of Crow Street (1960). The plot of the film tells about the revolution of 1905 and the struggle of revolutionaries with power. Andris played the role of Lurikh - a boy who is completely on the side of the revolutionaries. Teenagers have their own struggles, and they have created two opposing groups: one supports the fighters for justice, the other - the rich. The guys from Voronya Street are shown as brave and resourceful assistants to their older comrades, and Lurikh is the most courageous and resourceful of them. Lielais was good at this role, and he decided that his calling was to become an actor.

Therefore, after receiving secondary education, Andris went to Moscow - to enter the VGIK, and passed the first time. He was very lucky here with the course leader: he was Evgeny Matveev, a famous artist who played many roles in cult films. Therefore, the study was very interesting and rich in various events.

Film career

In 1982, the main role came to Andris - he created the image of Valery Pospekhin in the film "Since We Are Together", which was directed by Vladimir Grigoriev. The film showed the problems of early marriage: the situations faced by young people who got married during their student years. The hero of Lielais and his wife Nadya cannot find common solutions in any way, although there is great love between them. The young actors managed to show well the discrepancy between the expectation of seed life and its realities, which was very useful for those who were about to get married.

Lielais began his film career shortly before perestroika, which radically changed the life of Soviet people. After the collapse of the USSR, the actor began to cooperate with Western television channels - he made stories about the Soviet Union. They were watched mainly abroad, therefore, in the countries of the former USSR, and in Latvia, Andris did not have much fame.

Everything changed in 1992 when he starred in the film "Raising Cruelty in Women and Dogs" in partnership with the famous Elena Yakovleva. After that, he began a period of active filming in serials and feature films.

The best serials in his portfolio are considered: "Game", "Anna-detective", "Death of the Empire", "Demons".

Personal life

Andris Lielais has been married twice. He has three sons: one from his first marriage and two from the second, with TV presenter Irina Paley.
