At the end of August, a number of media outlets published a message that honey and other beekeeping products fairs, which had become traditional since 2004, were canceled in Moscow. These fairs were not spontaneous, their work was regulated by a number of regulations adopted by the government of the capital, which at that time was headed by Yuri Luzhkov, who himself is fond of beekeeping.
As the newspapers reported, the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, signed a decree canceling many of the decisions of the former Moscow government concerning the holding of annual all-Russian honey fairs. The main document - the order of the Moscow government of February 13, 2004, which regulates the preparation and holding of the annual All-Russian fairs of honey and beekeeping products, and with it five more legal acts concerning these issues, has lost its force. Including the order of July 16, 2001 "On holding the city fair of honey on the territory of the State Museum-Reserve" Kolomenskoye ".
Naturally, many residents of the capital raised questions about such actions and were perceived as a demarche of the new government against the order that was established under the disgraced mayor. Otherwise, how could one explain the deprivation of Muscovites from the opportunity to purchase inexpensive and high-quality honey from producers, which was brought to the capital by beekeepers from all over Russia?
However, as it turned out, in fact, the annual honey fairs are not planned to be canceled at all. Only outdated regulatory acts that have lost their relevance were canceled, but the event itself is still planned to be held regularly. Before that, there were three points for the fair - in Kolomenskoye, Tsaritsyno and in the Manezh exhibition hall. From this year, the fair will be held only on the territory of the Kolomenskoye Museum-Reserve.
The reason for the transfer of the fair from the "Manezh", conveniently located in the city center, the capital officials say a new concept, which does not provide for the holding of fair events. The Tsaritsyn area was inconvenient due to the close-located transport interchanges.
The head of the department of trade and services of the city of Moscow, Alexei Nemeryuk, told reporters that the fair is currently operating in Kolomenskoye and will finish its work only on September 23rd. It will renew its work annually.
