The future famous Russian psychotherapist and sexologist was born in Leningrad on August 28, 1946. All the main milestones in the biography of Lev Scheglov are associated with this city: here he studied, created a family, raised his son.
Shcheglov received his education at the Leningrad Sanitary and Hygienic Medical Institute, specializing in general medicine. Subsequently, he completed specializations in psychiatry, medical psychology, psychotherapy and sexopathology. When Shcheglov was choosing a profession, he already firmly knew that he would be engaged not in physical health problems, but in the formation and development of personality. He was interested in the problems of relations between the sexes.
