Childhood, adolescence
Toto (short for Salvatore) was born in Fosdinovo on July 7, 1943. His father was a sailor and also played the trumpet. At the age of 5, Toto lost his sister, her death became a real stress for the baby. He became brooding and serious.

Personal life
Cutugno has only been married once. His wife was a girl named Karla. They met at a club where the singer's group was giving a concert. The spouses do not have common children, but in 1989 Toto had an illegitimate child, Niko. The singer was carried away by the girl Christina, who was a flight attendant.
