Plot description

An ordinary family of Muscovites Vershinins, with their own construction business owned by the head of the family, Mikhail Nikolayevich, lived quite prosperously and calmly. However, after the death of Mikhail Nikolaevich, the stone wall behind which his wife and children lived began to crack. Since the wife of the deceased had nothing to do with his business and did not delve into the affairs of her husband, after his death she remains practically without means of subsistence.

Such famous actors as Elena Yakovleva and Stanislav Lyubshin played in the series "Lace".

Over time, the widow learns that Mikhail ran his construction business mainly with the help of loans, so the woman barely had enough assets to settle accounts with creditors. The assembled family council decides that the Vershinins will move to the father of the protagonist, who lives in the provincial town of Lepinsk - however, as it turned out, the father is not at all happy with the visiting guests from the capital. They did not visit him for a long time, ignoring the elderly relative, so he did not at all welcome his bankrupt relatives who came running to him when problems arose.

Number of episodes and filming of the series

There are only twelve episodes in the mini-series "Lace", during which its creators tell about people from small towns and suburbs who dream of living in the capital of Russia and who come to it for a new fabulous life. Usually, the integration of provincials into a vibrant and modern Moscow is a rather long and painful process, so only the most purposeful and stubborn people, such as Mikhail Nikolaevich Vershinin, remain to live in it.

On the set of the series "Lace" Konstantin Soloviev, who played one of the main roles, met his second wife, who starred in a tiny episode as his sister.

However, the series tells not only about the conquest of Moscow - it is also about the forced resettlement of successful capital residents back to the provinces. And if, when provincials move to the capital, their life really takes on bright colors and new meaning, otherwise Muscovites who come to a small town see everything in a gray and boring color. This is precisely the main plot thread of the series "Lace", which quickly gained popularity among the Russian audience, who regretted its small number of episodes.
