In the culture of various peoples, legends have been preserved about creatures of unusual growth for the average person, who had tremendous strength. In Greek myths they were called titans and Atlanteans, in Scandinavian mythology - giants, in the Bible - Nephilim. One thing unites these creatures: they all have a divine origin and they all, in one way or another, differ from ordinary people in enormous growth.

People of unprecedented height, capable of lifting huge weights, participated in circus performances of various times. Modern giants are listed in the Guinness Book of Records and amaze people with their amazing parameters. Bao Xishun (2 m 36 cm), Sultan Kösen (2 m 51 cm) and Leonid Stadnik (2 m 57 cm) are considered modern giants, but their extraordinary growth is considered more of a pathology than the norm. It was also in the Middle Ages and in the ancient world, but myths say that there were many more giants on earth before.

In folk tales, you can see extraordinary people - giants, giants, who amazed the minds of their living witnesses: Svyatogor the hero, Bolshoi Tyll, Tepegez, Adau and many others. “And the sons of God began to go in to the daughters of men. And the Nephilim / giants were born from these marriages - people are glorious and strong since ancient times,”- this is how the Old Testament and the Apocryphal Book of Enoch say about miraculous people who once lived on Earth. The flood washed them away along with the rest of humanity, but they still continued to appear much later: one of these unusual people was Goliath, who was defeated by David, who later became king.

In the ancient Greek epics, there are also several mentions of giants: the Atlantean, to whom Hercules came and asked for the apples of the Hesperides (one of the 12 labors), the titans who fought on the side of Zeus's father, Kronos, the sons of Poseidon, the giant cyclops Polyphemus with his brothers who met Odysseus. Similar characters are also present in Egyptian, Babylonian, Indian, Celtic and other mythologies. This can serve as indirect evidence that giants existed, and people met them, albeit infrequently. It was these meetings that gave rise to myths and legends captured in oral traditions.

Archaeologists find confirmation of the ancient texts in different parts of the world. For example, in southern Africa, a huge human footprint was found next to a dinosaur footprint. Similar traces were found in Polynesia, Tarawa Island. These shots flew around the world and were included in the film of the researcher Erich von Daniken "Memories of the Future." The height of the person who left such a mark exceeded three meters. Experts make various assumptions about the dating of the life of this giant. Someone speaks of millions of years, while someone gives an estimate of several tens of millennia. However, both those and others agree that for "antediluvian" people high growth was the norm, and in comparison with them modern people are dwarfs.

Ogres, titans, giants, cyclops, giants, gods, heroes - people called these creatures differently. It is believed that they all predate the race of modern humans and are almost completely extinct. Black archaeologists here and there find huge human skeletons, these can be individual graves or whole cemeteries. Academic science does not recognize such discoveries and declares all photographs to be fake. However, until now, not a single examination has been carried out that could confirm or deny the authenticity of these miraculous finds.
