Egyptian pyramids and pyramids of South America are on everyone's lips. But not everyone has heard of the pyramids in China. Their stories were overgrown with rumors and speculation, sometimes ridiculous. Their true purpose is unknown.
Legends
Actually, these pyramids are not pyramids at all, but mounds located within a radius of 100 kilometers from the city of Xi'an in the Shaanxi province. They were called pyramids by groups of impressionable tourists from Europe who dared to film objects located in a territory closed to foreigners. The legends of the locals also add fuel to the fire. Allegedly, aliens landed in Central China and erected pyramids, using dragons to move. Be that as it may, the pyramids are striking, especially the central pyramid of Sichuan, even surpassing the pyramid at Giza in height. At the same time, the time and efforts of local residents, who are eager to get hold of clay for their needs and pluck whole pieces from the mounds, did not spoil the appearance of these mysterious phenomena.
Secrecy
The Chinese government is not too happy with such attention to the pyramids from the West, so excavation and research there is prohibited. This is due to the proximity to the missile launch sites. On the other hand, such secrecy (the area is specially planted with trees in order to hide it from view) is alarming. Perhaps a source of world knowledge is stored inside that will turn all concepts about the world, and China with all its might keeps people from it.
Reality
The purpose of the mounds is twofold. There are many assumptions about him. It is hypothesized that it was a ritual system, which is hinted at by the clear layout of the pyramids, almost along a ruler.
This uncertainty attracts the minds of many people who come up with the most incredible interpretations of this riddle. The absence of mounds in aerial photography, the seizure of photographs and other attributes of secrecy excite the imagination. In reality, everything is much more prosaic. Like the Egyptian pyramids, these serve the purpose of providing a final resting place for the emperor and his immediate entourage.
Many have heard of the terracotta army. It was near these mounds that it was discovered. The tombs themselves are surrounded by clear platforms with all the infrastructure - fences, paths, in some places statues have been preserved. Inside, the tombs are spacious and decorated with paintings, and the walls are covered with plaster. Differentiation was carried out according to status, so that the chancellor could not be buried in a pyramid the same as that of the emperor.
Chinese burial mounds have not yet been well studied by European scientists for the above reasons, which gives rise to a desire in society to explain their purpose for themselves. Sometimes theories are absurd. So until the Chinese government provides access to the monuments, books about the mysterious aliens who built the pyramids will continue to be published.
