Today the planet is home to more than seven billion people united in a single civilization. It is hard to imagine that hundreds of thousands of years ago, scattered and small tribes of the ancestors of modern humans lived on Earth, who were engaged in hunting and gathering. Some details of the origin of human society are still a mystery to scientists.
Instructions
Step 1
It is generally accepted that human society began to emerge about 2-2, 5 million years ago. Its formation is directly related to the separation of man from the animal world, which was facilitated by the change in the conditions of existence on the planet. East Africa is considered the homeland of mankind. It was from here that the ancestors of modern people began their settlement on the planet. Apparently, this process as a whole ended only about 15 thousand years ago, when migrants from Asia mastered both parts of America.
Step 2
The great apes, from which people trace their ancestry, traditionally lived in trees. However, the dramatic climate change has forced the animals to look for warmer places suitable for existence. This required descending to the surface of the earth and mastering upright posture. The new way of transportation allowed the human ancestors to free their hands. Now a primitive person could perform both simple and rather complex labor operations.
Step 3
The next step in the development of human society is the transition to the manufacture of simple tools. Ancient people, who were already very different from the representatives of the animal world, gradually learned to process natural materials. Stone choppers, scrapers, clubs and sharp spears appeared in their arsenal. It has become much easier to provide for themselves and their relatives with the most necessary things.
Step 4
Changing lifestyles and hunting methods required the team members to join forces. Human ancestors could not survive alone - too many dangers lurked them in everyday life. Sustainable communities were gradually formed, which included representatives of the same genus. Several clans were united into a tribe. Such a social education, which already in those ancient times was characterized by the division of duties, was able to survive even in the most severe natural conditions.
Step 5
Centuries and millennia passed. The developing human society became more and more perfect. Man mastered speech, without which collective activity was impossible. In parallel with the development of speech, the formation of human mental abilities took place. It is believed that basically the formation of man was completed about 40 thousand years ago. The main factor that influenced the evolution of mankind was labor activity. Having mastered the skills of labor, people became less dependent on the vagaries of nature.
Step 6
With the development of new methods of economic activity, there was a change in the structure of social groups. Conditions for social inequality gradually arose, and special governance structures were formed in society. Humanity no longer even remotely resembled a herd of wild animals. In the course of his development, man completely separated himself from nature and confidently ascended to the highest stage of evolution.
