Instability in the economy and foreign policy makes ordinary people increasingly think about how to live in Russia in 2016. In fact, citizens should not worry at all, since the authorities and experts predict a favorable outcome for the country.
Ordinary people began to think about how to live further in Russia in 2016, especially when the dollar exceeded 85 rubles at the end of January. This happened due to the intense speculative play on the oil exchange. Such a fall in the ruble, according to economists, is a short-term phenomenon, and the situation is already stabilizing. In this regard, the authorities urged people not to panic and not start buying household appliances and other expensive goods in stores, fearing a further increase in prices, as was the case at the end of 2014.
Ordinary people in Russia often succumb to discouragement due to constant news of the growing financial crisis. Indeed, instability in various spheres of the economy and the exchange rate, like last year, will lead in 2016 to a reduction in the production capacity of some enterprises. However, this is far from the peak of the crisis, and there should be no mass layoffs, as in 2015, this year. Nevertheless, in order not to be among the laid-off employees, experts recommend keeping an eye out and having an "economic cushion" - at least a small amount of savings in a bank account.
Summing up the previous questions, it should be noted that citizens are not recommended to massively exchange rubles for Western currencies: the dollar and the euro will not grow strongly, but rather only soon lose in value. If in 2016 or later you plan to travel abroad, you can have an additional savings account in foreign currency. It will not be superfluous, and it will be much easier to organize your vacation later than to part with tens of rubles at the very beginning of your vacation.
Food producers also argue that living in Russia in 2016 will hardly be more difficult for ordinary people than in previous years. The cost of products will not grow much and will be characterized only by typical seasonal jumps and drops for certain groups. In addition, many stores are beginning to deliberately expand their assortment, trying to accommodate more budget and affordable goods.
The good news is that Russia is actively preparing for the 2018 FIFA World Cup. Many regional and nearby cities receive serious funding from the state to prepare for this event and acquire the proper look. More cultural and entertainment facilities will be built in them, the condition of roads will improve, and new types of transport will appear. Contrary to evil tongues, Russia is unlikely to face an economic collapse. The authorities are actively working on solving current problems in all spheres of life and will certainly take into account the condition and needs of ordinary citizens.
