A flyer is a quick way to inform a large number of people about something. Its content should be as relevant as possible, and its design should be bright and eye-catching. The leaflet's lifespan is short, because outdated information is not needed by anyone. By the nature of the information, it can be agitational, advertising, social and everyday. There are a few rules to keep in mind when writing a flyer.

Instructions

Step 1

The flyer must be easy to understand. Think over the structure. Even in a short text, one should not abandon the traditional construction “introduction - main part - conclusion”. Concentrate on the main idea. State it clearly and supplement it with a few supporting arguments and facts. Write a short text that doesn't take a person more than a minute to read.

Step 2

The leaflet text must be unambiguous. Don't make conflicting statements. Avoid hints, understatements, dots. Leaflet circulation should not cause perplexity in a person. Avoid specific terms and jargon. The former make the text heavier, the latter can make the reader dismissive of your message.

Step 3

When making arguments, do not overload the text with facts. The abundance of additional information distracts from the main idea. If it is necessary to provide numerical data, present them in the form of graphs and diagrams. Submit only one good quality photo to illustrate the text on the flyer.

Step 4

The design of each flyer should grab the attention of potential readers. Highlight the most important thought (phrase) of the text in a special way: large or unusual font, bright color, noticeable location on the sheet. Use colored paper or full color printing.

Step 5

The information sheet must be neat. If it is not possible to order it from the printing house, print it on a printer. But even if you write by hand, use good quality A4 paper. When filling both sides of the sheet with text, take a high density paper: the font should not show through from the back side.

Step 6

You can distribute a leaflet in several ways: stick it on notice boards, distribute it to passers-by on the street, put it in mailboxes, leave it on park benches or on supermarket counters.
