Vladimir Sipyagin managed to become the governor of the Vladimir Region only on the second attempt, and only on the basis of the results of the second round, but he himself was confident of his victory in 2018. The politician says that he was helped not only by the experience in management acquired over 5 years, but also by a detailed study of the problems of the region, the needs and requirements of its inhabitants.

Vladimir himself considers himself a native of the region, although he was born in Kharkov, in February 1970. His father was a serviceman, the family moved frequently, and at the time of the birth of his son, the military unit of the head of the family was stationed in the Ukrainian Republic.
The family returned to the Vladimir region, where the father of the current governor is from, when he was only 2 months old. Vladimir received his secondary education in the city of Vyazma. After leaving school, he did military service in the ranks of the Soviet army.
Since childhood, Vladimir differed from his friends and classmates in diligence and dedication. He believes that it was these qualities that helped him build a successful career from the very first steps. Just two years after starting his professional career, he took the post of Deputy Director for Economic Affairs of the leading financial structure of Vladimir, having previously worked as a couple as an engineer-economist at a local enterprise.
Both former and current colleagues, Sipyagin's colleagues note that he tries to understand in detail everything he comes into contact with in his work, even if the question or problem seems insignificant at first glance.
Business and civil service
In the critical and difficult 90s for the country, Vladimir Sipyagin was engaged in financial activities, advised commercial structures, and acquired a reputation as a highly qualified expert in the field of economics.
In 1994, Sipyagin became one of the founders of a commercial structure engaged in real estate and restaurant business. Until 2000, he was engaged in a high-income business, but he wanted to achieve more, including for the residents of his native region. As a result, he decided to get involved in politics.
Without interrupting business management, Vladimir decided to improve his level of education - he completed the course "State and Municipal Management" at the branch of the Russian Academy of Civil Service in his hometown, entered the magistracy of the RANEPA.
In 2012, Vladimir Sipyagin became a member of the Liberal Democratic Party, took the post of assistant to deputy Zolochevsky, and three years later replaced him. A year later, he nominated himself for the post of head of the Vladimir region, but according to the results of the vote, he took the 3rd position.
Having suffered defeat in the elections, Vladimir did not even think to leave politics - he headed the regional faction of his party in the Legislative Assembly of the region. On his shoulders were the questions of

In 2016, Sipyagin made an attempt to enter the state level, to become a State Duma deputy, but it was unsuccessful, and he remained in the regional one. After 2 years, he became the governor of his native region.
Elections and the post of governor - a new milestone in Sipyagin's political career
In the elections for this high post of the regional level, besides Vladimir, three more candidates took part. In the second round there were two - the current head of the region Orlova and Sipyagin.
Sipyagin attracted voters' attention to his candidacy not with loud promises and statements. As part of his campaign, the candidate simply shared his thoughts on how the government functions in the region, and what changes need to be made to this functionality. He is still convinced that it is necessary, first of all, to eradicate the habit of officials to abuse power and the opportunities that it gives, to launch an active fight against corruption.
At the time of his election, in terms of the standard of living of the population, the region ranked last in the district. Sipyagin noted that it is necessary to conduct serious work in this direction, and what steps to take to improve the situation can be decided only after it has been thoroughly studied and analyzed.
Arriving in the office of the governor of the Vladimir region as its owner, Sipyagin reduced the costs for the needs of the bureaucratic apparatus, cut several deputies, carried out personnel changes and layoffs at the municipal level. Not everyone liked such drastic measures, and representatives of the opposition tried to stir up a scandal around his name, but the attempt failed at the very beginning.

Very little is known about the personal life of Vladimir Sipyagin. The only fact that is reliable is that he is a father of many children. He has two daughters and two sons, the youngest of whom is still attending kindergarten.
Vladimir spends a lot of time with his children, but no one has ever seen him with his wife. Regional and metropolitan media in 2016 wrote that Sipyagin divorced his wife back in 2016.
Vladimir himself categorically refuses to discuss his personal life with journalists and suppresses their attempts to find out something during the interview. It is only known that for many years a certain Marina Gulina was his wife, after a divorce from her, the children remained to live with their father.
