At all times, the state has strived and is striving at the current historical moment to preserve its territorial integrity. Sometimes actions to strengthen borders lead to serious conflicts. Andrey Purgin is an active participant in such a conflict.
Initial positions
The collapse of such a huge state as the Soviet Union caused completely unexpected consequences. Part of the population of independent Ukraine expressed a desire to become part of Russia. For some reason, the authorities did not listen to this desire. One of the initiators of the secession of the Donetsk People's Republic was Andrey Evgenievich Purgin. The leader of the local social and political movement was born on January 26, 1972 in an ordinary Soviet family. Parents at that time lived in the mining town of Marinka. My father worked as a miner. Mother is a nurse at a local clinic.
The child grew up in a circle of peers who were brought up according to the current traditions. The children were taught to respect the elders, not to offend the weak and not to appropriate someone else's. Purgin studied well at school. He actively participated in social events and sports competitions. Andrey's favorite subjects were history and social studies. In 1989, after graduating from school, he decided to get a specialized education at the Faculty of Automated Control Systems at the famous Donetsk State University.
Social activity
In 1994, Purgin completed his studies and received a diploma of higher education. By this time, the sale of state-owned enterprises to private hands was being carried out in the Donbass. Where does a young specialist get the capital to buy a mine or a gas station? For several years Andrei tried to find a decent job. Small businesses were just getting on their feet and paying their employees a pittance. Purgin tried to go into business, but "burned out". Watching the events on the streets and participating in them, he recalled the history of his native land - at the beginning of the 20th century, miners here created the Donetsk-Kryvyi Rih Soviet Republic.
When in the cities of Ukraine they passed under the orange banners, Purgin sharply condemned such actions. In 2005, he was one of the initiators of the creation of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). Possessing organizational skills, Andrey held public events at which he explained to his fellow countrymen the meaning of his proposals. Public creativity was not in vain. In the spring of 2014, when the current president of Ukraine, Viktor Yanukovych, was deposed, the contours of a new state formation appeared on the country's map.
Career and personal life
In November 2014, Purgin was elected chairman of the People's Council of the DPR. In the adjacent territories with Ukraine, hostilities began. Six months later, he left his post for health reasons. This was not the end of the political career of Andrei Evgenievich, but access to the media was limited to him.
The personal life of the people's politician was happy. The future husband and wife were married in the church according to the Orthodox ceremony. At the moment, Purgin is engaged in literary work - he writes historical stories and stories about his native land.
