On July 25, 2014, the day of an employee of the investigation agencies of the Russian Federation was marked for the first time. This day has a rich 300-year history. It was on this day in 1713 that Peter the Great issued a decree establishing the Investigative Office.
The Investigative Office, approved by Peter the Great, was directly subordinate to him and was focused on solving crimes related to corruption and secret instigators of unrest in the state. Today this work is continued by the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.
White bone - the elite of the detective
In modern Russia, all divisions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have investigative departments - these are the FSB and the State Control, and the department for combating drug trafficking and others. The work of all investigators, regardless of their affiliation with a particular structure of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, is aimed at quickly solving serious crimes against the state or the individual.
Investigators must have extraordinary intelligence and extensive professional knowledge, which they use to solve a crime. The fate of a person sometimes depends on their professional qualities. The task of the investigator is to find the true criminal and apply all his skill in collecting irrefutable evidence so that the criminal appears before the court and receives the punishment he deserves.
Traditions
Traditionally, the day of investigative officers is celebrated by a solemn board at the headquarters of the IC, where the results of the past working year are summed up and certificates, letters of thanks, and awards are presented. The next ranks of employees usually come to the same day, which means that, according to tradition, new shoulder straps will be "washed" in the evening. Usually it looks like this: colleagues gather at the table and pour a faceted glass of vodka to the culprit. New stars are thrown to the bottom. The officer must drink vodka so that the stars are in his mouth, only after that he can say "I serve Russia" and attach insignia to the shoulder straps.
Investigators have earned respect and trust among the citizens of their country by the fact that they fight daily to identify criminals or their malicious intent. Moreover, this is not always done at the table, sometimes it is necessary to enter into an armed confrontation. Quite a few investigators were seriously injured during their service, and some died. The country celebrates its heroes with state awards on the day of the formation of the service. State awards are presented by the prime minister or president of the country in the white hall of the Kremlin.
The investigative bodies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, represented by their investigators, are investigating crimes in the economic sphere, exposing corruption schemes, suppressing bribery, determining the culprit of a road traffic accident with grave consequences, looking for and finding kidnapped people. The number of crimes such as hacker attacks, an increase in drug trafficking and related crimes has increased. Investigators work closely with forensic experts to successfully solve a crime. It should be noted that the Ministry of Internal Affairs equips forensic laboratories with modern equipment, which allows investigators to substantiate their evidence with studies confirmed by criminologists.
Along with the hard daily work, investigative officers take an active part in public life, and therefore marathons, competitions, and shooting are often timed to coincide with the holiday.
