Biography
The future artist was born in the village of Sandata, in the Rostov region. He was born in July 1916 in a Cossack family.
When the boy was baptized, the priest named him Andrew. The priest looked at this name in the calendar. It was given to the boy in honor of the famous artist Andrei Rublev. The priest also said that the child will eventually become an artist. And so it happened.
Andrei was still small when he was already drawing with charcoal taken from the stove on the light walls of houses. And then it was already clear how similar the portraits of the child were to the originals.
Although after the revolution it was difficult in the family with money, but the husband and wife devoted themselves and bought pencils and paints for their son.
In the native village of Andrei Gavrilovich, there was only an elementary school. Therefore, when the child was 12 years old, he left for the city of Salsk to study further.
Here the young man's abilities in all sciences, especially in drawing, were manifested. A teacher in this subject helped him prepare for admission to the Art School. Andrey passed the exams at this Krasnodar temple of art with excellent marks.
During these years of his student days, Andrei Gavrilovich painted landscapes from life, young peasant women.
Career
When Andrei was 20 years old, he graduated from the Krasnodar School and went to Moscow. Here he showed his work to specialists from the Surikov Institute. The director of the institution, seeing the talented paintings, said that he was taking the young man straight to the second year without exams.
Lysenko had outstanding abilities, for which he was awarded the Repin scholarship. Andrei Gavrilovich was the first student to be encouraged with such a monthly payment.
Time of war
When the Great Patriotic War began, Lysenko A. G. wanted to go to the front. But the talented painter was sent to Samarkand. Here he draws from life, recreates portraits of children and old people.
Creative and personal life
In 1948 A. G. Lysenko was admitted to the Union of Artists. And in 1950 he met his fate and got married. Margarita became his chosen one.
Then the family grew up. In 1951, the artist's daughter Lyuba was born. Later, she gave her parents a grandson Andrei, who also eventually became an artist.
And Andrei Gavrilovich continued to paint until the last days of his life. He illustrated popular magazines of the Soviet era, created stamps, postcards. Andrei Gavrilovich made a great contribution to the disclosure of the talents of young painters. He helped them get workshops for work, contributed to the development of their abilities. After a trip to Italy, Andrei Gavrilovich paints the landscapes of this country, draws the Colosseum, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, creates the streets of Florence on the canvas. After returning to his homeland, a surprise awaited him, the painter had a grandson.
Until his last days, the famous artist created magnificent paintings that adorn galleries, museums, art estates around the world.
