Sergey Mochalov is a Russian scientist, teacher, owner of more than a dozen awards and titles. He is engaged in the creation of applied information systems, modern energy technology processes.
Biography
Sergey Mochalov was born on March 12, 1955 in the village of Temirtau, Kemerovo Region. I also attended a kindergarten there. Later, his family moved to the village of Kaz, where the boy went to school. There were no problems with my studies. Sergei mastered different disciplines equally well. Mochalov received his secondary education certificate in 1972.
From the first time I entered the Siberian Metallurgical Institute, became one of the best students. After graduating from the institute, there was a postgraduate study, the defense of a Ph. D. In his work, Sergei Pavlovich opened the topic of studying dynamic patterns and optimization of technological modes of converter smelting. The doctoral dissertation dealt with metal production in jet-emulsion systems.
Career
Mochalov began his career as an assistant and later as an associate professor of the Department of Mathematical Support and the Use of Electronic Computers in Metallurgy of the Siberian Metallurgical Institute.
1993 - 2003 - Sergey Pavlovich - professor of the department.
Since 1998, he also worked as deputy head of the department of information technology in metallurgy, headed the educational and methodological section of information systems.
A year later, Sergei Mochalov was elected a corresponding member of the SB RAS of the Higher School.
2003 turned out to be a landmark for the scientist. He became one of the members of the International Higher Education Academy of Sciences. In 2012 he became a full member of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences.
From 2003 to 2008, Sergei Pavlovich was the pro-rector for informatization of the Siberian State Institute of Management. During this time, several projects for the development of the university in the field of information technology have been implemented, the main system solutions for algorithmic support have been adopted.
From 2008 to 2013 he worked as the rector of the university. Over the years, a higher educational institution has received a serious impetus for development, several new specialties have been opened, and the list of scientific research has been expanded.
In 2014, Sergey Pavlovich headed the scientific and engineering center "System integrator of technologies". He made a great contribution to the development of the institution.
