Iago Aspas is a famous footballer playing as a striker. Almost his entire career has been for the Spanish football club Sevilla. Since 2016 he has been defending the national colors of the Spanish national team.
Biography
Iago Aspas Yunkal was born on the first day of August 1987 in the small Spanish town of Moanya. In addition to Iago, there were three more children in the family, all of whom began to play football from early childhood. Aspas, like his brothers, began to take his first steps at the local amateur football club Moana.
Career
The successes in Moana did not go unnoticed by the major Spanish clubs, and Sevilla FC invited the talented guy to watch. But due to the strict selection policy of the club, the boy and all the relatives accompanying the young footballer to Vego were in for a big disappointment. Only upon arrival did they find out that the club was only recruiting players born in 1986. Iago was so upset that he was ready to give up his sports future, but his uncle found a way out of this situation - he simply invited his parents and Iago himself to cheat with the age of the child.
Then another test awaited the talented football player: he always played in shoes without spikes, and constantly slipped and fell on the synthetic field of Celta. Having overcome this mountain of problems, the young applicant was nevertheless admitted to the club's academy. To break into the base of Celta, promising Aspas had to work hard for eleven years and play for the youth team.
Aspas signed a professional contract with the team in 2006. The debut for Celta took place two years later in 2008. This season, he played only three matches, and from the next he began to appear regularly on the field. After playing three seasons in the Spanish second division, Iago made his way to La Liga in 2012 with Celta. Having played the season at the highest level, he liked the English grandee Liverpool and the next year he moved to England.
Unfortunately, the promising Spaniard failed to show the proper level in the English club, and a year later he returned to his native Celta. In total, at Liverpool, Iago appeared on the field 15 times and scored only one goal. The Spanish footballer has not won any big trophies yet, and the greatest achievement in his career can be considered a promotion in class and passage to La Liga, which took place in 2012.
National team
The debut for the Spanish national team took place in 2016. The famous footballer first appeared on the field in the colors of the national team in a friendly match with the England national team. For two years in the national team, Iago played sixteen matches and scored six goals.

Iago Aspas is married. His chosen one is Jennifer Ueda, they met when Iago played for English Liverpool. The wedding took place in 2017. The couple have a son named Thiago.
