Life circumstances push Larisa to accept the offer of the poor postal worker Karandyshev. On the eve of the wedding, unfortunately for Larisa, Sergei Sergeevich is announced. The love story ends with a drama - the death of the heroine.
The plot of the film is vital, painful, and now sincere feelings often remain unappreciated, hopes are shattered by indifference and human meanness. The picture is interesting for its modernity.
Truly, Freundlich is magnificent in this film, in her performance Madame Ogudalova is a simple loving mother, forced to humiliate herself, to dodge in order to arrange the happiness of her daughters.
