Oganesyan has no special cinematographic education. However, he has a six-month course for filmmakers in the capital of Armenia. The short film "The Door to You" became the diploma work of the novice master.

Having received the first skills of directing, Oganesyan decided to try his luck in Moscow. Here he attended advertising courses. Yuri Grymov became its head. Oganesyan showed his thesis directorial work to director Vladimir Motyl. Having familiarized himself with it, the master recommended Oganesyan not to waste time on formal education, but to immediately start working and realize his creative potential.
