Soviet actress Anastasia Zueva is well remembered by those whose childhood was in the 80-90s. It was she who was the kind grandmother who appeared at the beginning of the legendary children's films by Alexander Rowe. Soviet children were impatiently waiting for the carved shutters to open and the storyteller to appear in them.
Biography: early years
Anastasia Platonovna Zueva was born on December 5, 1896 in the village of Spasskoye, near Venev, Tula region. Her family was considered well-off. At the age of five, she lost her father. Soon the mother brought a new husband to the house - a gendarme colonel. And two daughters, Anastasia and Elizabeth, she gave to her sister for upbringing, so that they would not interfere with her new female happiness.
Aunt Zueva was the steward of the estate, she “cooked” in a cultural environment and introduced her nieces to this. Anastasia was especially drawn to the arts. The girls studied in one of the Tula grammar schools.
Soon the aunt and nieces moved to Moscow. Soon, Anastasia decided to enter a theater school. At the show, she impressed the teachers so much that they took her to study free of charge. A year later, Zueva moved to the Moscow Art Theater School. She was considered one of the talented students in her course.
Career
Since 1924, Zueva began to play at the Moscow Art Theater. Her first work on the stage was the role of an old woman. Anastasia was then barely 22 years old, but she was so convincing in her age role that Stanislavsky himself gave her a lot of compliments. And then he noted that she would be an eternal old woman on the stage. The words of the famous master turned out to be prophetic.
Zueva was not afraid to play age heroines. So, soon she appeared on stage in the role of Mother in the production of "Untilovsk", and then played Matryona in the play "Resurrection".
In 1932, Zueva played one of her legendary roles - the landowner Korobochka from Gogol's Dead Souls. She reincarnated into it for more than half a century, until the end of her days.
In the same year, Zueva played for the first time in a movie. She appeared in the film Prosperity. This was followed by modest roles in a number of films, including:
- The First Glove;
- "Shining Path";
- "Native Fields";
- "The groom from the other world";
- "The Road to Calvary".
Since 1950, the actress has taken part in the dubbing of many Soviet cartoons. So, the old woman speaks in her voice in "The Tale of the Fisherman and the Fish", the tortoise Tortila in "The Adventures of Pinocchio".
In 1964, Zueva played the storyteller in Alexander Rowe's Frost. The audience loved this character so much that the director decided to include him in other fairy tales. Soon Anastasia began to host the program "Visiting a Fairy Tale". In it, she appeared in front of the audience in the beloved image of a good storyteller.
In 1982, Zueva played her last film role. It was a fairy tale film “There, on unknown paths”.
Personal life
Anastasia Zueva was married twice. From her first spouse, Ivan Evseev, the actress had a son, Konstantin. Her husband, who was a big boss on the railway, was not satisfied with the acting profession of Zueva. He was very jealous of her, often rolled up scandals. Zueva left him after he raised his hand to her. Evseev managed to keep his son for himself.
The second husband of the actress was the composer Victor Oransky. She divorced him because of his betrayal.
Anastasia Zueva died on March 23, 1986. Her grave is located at the Novodevichy cemetery in the capital.
