Childhood and youth
Ada Nikolaevna Rogovtseva, Soviet and Ukrainian actress, born in the Sumy region, in the small town of Glukhov, on July 16, 1937. The girl's mother, who received a higher agricultural education, worked as an agronomist. Father, a professional soldier, served in the ranks of the state security. When Germany treacherously attacked the USSR, the Rogovtsev family ended up in Odessa. The head of the family, Nikolai Ivanovich Rogovtsev, did not succeed in evacuating loved ones and together they had to return to their hometown of Ada. From there Rogovtsev had to go to Moscow, where he continued his service in the personal protection of Khrushchev.
At the end of the war, the head of the family managed to arrange a living space for his relatives in Kiev. Some time later, after the transfer of the head of the family to Poltava, they move to a new place of residence. Here Ada finishes school and since she was often engaged in performances by the school's amateur group, she decided to follow the path of improving theatrical skills.
Theatrical career
Possessing the talents of reincarnation in different characters, the girl decided to enter Kiev, at the theatrical institute. Karpenko-Kary. After enrollment, the young student was soon recognized as the best in the course. The teaching staff, noting her talent, assisted in obtaining Rogovtseva Stalin's scholarship. Before graduating from the institute, the artist received an offer to work in the folk theater. Lesia Ukrainka, where in 1959 Ada opened her debut in the play "The Youth of Poli Vikhrova".
At the age of 23, the young actress received the title of Honored Artist of the Ukrainian SR. I would like to note that during her work in the folk theater, Ada has played more than fifty roles. The artist was fortunate enough to work with various directors, including Roman Vityuk. Already at the beginning of the 21st century, the leading actress met with this director again, and several successful joint works appeared in cooperation.
Ada Rogovtseva also left a noticeable mark in the film industry. The first notable and significant role was played in the film "Salute, Maria", which lifted the actress to unattainable heights.

Personal life of the actress
The actress got married immediately after graduating from the theater institute. Her husband was Konstantin Stepankov, one of the teachers of the university where Ada studied. They have been married for almost 50 years. They have two children - a son, Konstantin, who died tragically in 2012, and a daughter, Ekaterina, who is currently working as an actress at the Roman Vityuk Theater.
