Biography
Natalia Selezneva was born in 1945 in post-war Moscow and was brought up in a creative family of an artist and photographer. The surname Selezneva belonged to the mother of the future actress, and it was her that she later took instead of the one that was at birth - Polinkovskaya. Already at the age of six, Natalia was invited to play on the stage of the Theater of the Soviet Army by a family friend, actor Mikhail Mayorov, and she did an excellent job with the main role in the production of "30 pieces of silver".
The subsequent years of work in the theater forced Selezneva to change school often, but in the end her secondary education was left behind, and in 1963 Natalia entered the Shchukin Theater School. Subsequently, she began working in the capital's Theater of Satire, on the stage of which she can still be seen today. But even as a child, the actress managed to make her film debut when she was invited to star in children's films "Alyosha Ptitsyn", "Alenka" and "Girl and the Crocodile". In her student years, fate gave the aspiring actress a new chance.
In 1965, Natalya Selezneva played the role of a student Lidochka in the now legendary comedy "Operation Y …", which was filmed by Leonid Gaidai. In one of the scenes, Natalya starred in a swimsuit, which immediately turned her into one of the early Soviet sex symbols.
