Biography

Garik was born in Lvov in the spring of 1963 into a family of doctors. According to the parents, the boy began not to speak, but to sing at the age of five, and at the age of five his mother took him to a music studio, where the child began to master the piano.

In the seventh grade of school, Georgy dropped out of classes in the studio, deciding to focus on the guitar in order to put his own lyrics to music and sing for friends. At the same time, the talented guy became interested in martial arts and even received a category. But things did not go further - the need to go to competitions did not at all seduce the future famous chansonnier.

In high school, Garik organized his own musical ensemble, where he played bass. But at the end of school, in 1982, at the insistence of his parents, he went to enter the Lviv Medical Institute. It turned out on the second try. After receiving his diploma, Krichevsky worked for some time as an orderly, not leaving rehearsals, and soon completely abandoned medical practice for the sake of creativity.

Career

The first attempts to record his own songs with Krichevsky took place immediately after the institute. Quite famous musicians were involved in the work, but the album was stolen and later sold by one of them. After the failure, Georgy Eduardovich Krichevsky is promoted to businessmen, opening a video recording salon with a friend, at the same time releasing parodies of popular songs under the pseudonym "Electro Grits".

At the same time, the musician was arranging his personal life - he fell in love with a nurse from the emergency department, where he worked after graduation, Angela Vladimirovna, the niece of the famous musician Bashmet. She became the wife of a musician in 1991 and left to travel, first to Germany, then to Poland.

Returning home a year later, Garik began recording his first full-length album "Pryvokzalnaya". It was unexpectedly difficult - the work at the radio station took a lot of time, there was almost no money, and in addition, the musician fell ill. But nevertheless, the collection was released in 1993, and a year later "Kievlyanka" was released, an album that brought Krichevsky wide fame throughout the CIS.

And yet the musician at that time wanted to leave for Germany forever, so that he could do what he loved without hindrance. But when Garik had the opportunity to perform at large concert venues, they began to invite him to TV shows, he changed his mind and stayed at home.
