Biography

Guillaume Musso was born on June 6, 1974 in the small cozy port town of Antibes, located on the Mediterranean Cape Garoupe between the "star" Nice and Cannes in France. While still a boy, he was fond of literature, devoting all his free time to reading books in the city library, where his mother worked. It is thanks to the literary competition offered by his French teacher that he discovers his passion and love for writing novels. From that moment until today, he will no longer translate ink and paper, he becomes an author. After graduating from the French school, at the age of 19, he leaves for the United States, where all his meetings, everything enriches his imagination and projects of the future novelist. Having lived in New York for several months, he makes a living selling ice cream, and upon returning home, his thoughts are full of ideas for a future romance. Returning to his native country, Guillaume conquers the heights of economics and becomes a professor in the East, and then in the south of France.

Creation

In 2001, he published his first novel, Skidamarink (it was not officially published in Russian), which tells about the theft from the Louvre of the portrait "Mona Lisa" (aka "La Gioconda"), written by the great Leonardo da Vinci. This story is about love and suspense, emphasized by elements of the supernatural, which will cost him a meteoric rise in creativity and success, which does not fade to this day.

Subsequently, the author's work and his fame begin to develop at an overwhelming speed. His works are gaining popularity in Europe, and then in other countries of the world. Here is a short list of his works, so beloved by readers:

The novel "After …", which tells about a successful lawyer, plunging headlong into work and more and more distant from his family, in whose life a stranger once appears, involving a lawyer in a series of fatal and frightening events.

Save Me is the next story from Guillaume Musso, gripping, full of magic, intrigue and love for Juliette and Sam, who had a passionate, vibrant weekend in New York.

“Because I Love You” is a love drama about the happiness of Mark and Nicole, suddenly interrupted by a terrible misfortune - the disappearance of their daughter Leila …

“I Come Back for You” is a drama about a young man who was born and raised in a marginal Boston quarter, who managed to replay fate: to get an education, become a famous psychoanalyst, gain fame and wealth, for whom, however, life has prepared other trials: the loss of love and betrayal.

"The Paper Girl" is a love story about the life of the famous novelist Tom Boyd, with whom life played a cruel joke: after a difficult parting with his beloved girl, he withdraws into himself and plunges into an antisocial environment: alcohol, drugs and bad company have become his daily routine. What will help him return to his normal world - will tell the novel by G. Musso after reading it.

Notoriety

In one of his novels Will You Be There? Guillaume wrote: “Everything that should happen will definitely happen, no matter how hard you try to avoid it. Anything that shouldn't happen will not happen, no matter how much you want it."

Contemporary French literature is now divided into two main areas. On the one hand, there are highly artistic novels. In these books, the most important thing is the beauty of the language, the style, the author's thoughts. And on the other, there are history novels. The latter are closer to Guillaume. In his works, he loves to tell stories with unusual characters, poignant plot and intrigue; he writes books that target the widest possible audience. The most significant of the Russian classics for a novelist is the novel The Master and Margarita by Mikhail Bulgakov. In it, he saw the themes that excite him to this day. Some he himself touches on in his novels. First of all, these are questions of fate and destiny.

Guillaume Musso has been ranked first for 6 years in a row, entering the top ten best-selling authors in Europe. Translated into forty languages, adapted several times for cinema, all of his books are a huge success in France and around the world. For readers, each new novel by Guillaume Musso is now an event and a revelation. In his work, everyone will find themselves, recognize the echoes of their most secret corners of the soul, get distracted from the gray and boring everyday life, plunge into the world of the secret and supernatural.
