Maksim Osadchiy already in his childhood knew for sure that in the future he would shoot the best films. He was inspired by the example of his older sister who became a student at VGIK. Maxim graduated from the same university later. During his eventful career, the cameraman has not only filmed films, he has also participated in work on music videos and commercials.
From the biography of Maxim Roaldovich Osadchy
The future actor, director and cameraman was born in Krasnoyarsk on August 8, 1965. One of Maxim's first childhood hobbies was black and white photography. When the boy was 11 years old, his older sister Elena entered VGIK. Sometimes she took him to lectures, where Maxim absorbed new and interesting information. It was in those years that Osadchiy began to think about the profession of an actor.
A little later, Maxim watched the film "Solaris" by Andrei Tarkovsky. After this, the young man had no doubts about the choice of life: he firmly decided to make films.
After graduating from school, Osadchiy followed in the footsteps of his older sister and entered VGIK. He studied on the course of V. Nakhabtsev.
Carier start
In the late 80s, right after graduation, my sister invited Maxim to become a cameraman for the film she was filming. Filming actually began even before Osadchy defended his diploma. After a while, the young cameraman started working on the film "Alice and the Bookseller" with director Alexei Rudakov.
In the 90s, work became very bad: films were almost never filmed in the country. Then Maxim decided to shoot commercials. He did advertisements for chocolate, different types of beer, for mobile operators.
Clips for compositions by Russian performers became another direction in Osadchy's work. Maxim successfully worked with Alla Pugacheva, Valery Meladze, Dmitry Malikov. Osadchiy considers it pointless to compare work in the cinema and the advertising industry. But the operator recognizes that opportunities for creativity exist in a variety of industries.
Becoming a master
After the crisis that hit Russia, Maxim decided to leave for the United States for a while. Thanks to his extensive connections, he quickly found use of his abilities. With America, he did what he knew best: shot music videos and commercials. He was not going to conquer Hollywood.
In 1999, Osadchiy returned to his homeland, where it seemed more interesting to him to live. At first, there was little work, but soon Osadchy was invited to work on films. In cooperation with Tigran Keosayan, Osadchiy shot the picture "The President and His Granddaughter".
In 2001, Channel One invited Maxim for filming in the project "Old Songs about the Main."
A significant moment in Osadchy's career was the work on the film "Company 9" by Fyodor Bondarchuk. The director and cameraman have known each other since their studies. Prior to this film, Osadchy had not yet had a chance to work on complex production projects. During the filming, the group had to shoot with several cameras at once. As a result, the picture turned out to be extremely successful.
In subsequent years, Osadchiy recorded in his asset work on the paintings "Inhale, Exhale" and "Heat". In the last of these films, the Maxims were entrusted with playing a small role.
Then there was another picture of Bondarchuk - "Inhabited Island". To work on the film, the director again invited Osadchy. In subsequent years, the cameraman shot films "Without Men", "Kitty", "Two Days", "Cococo".
One of the most productive years for Osadchy was 2013, when several films shot with his participation were released. The cameraman managed to work with Bondarchuk again during the filming of the military drama "Stalingrad".
Personal life of Maxim Osadchy
The first wife of Maxim Roaldovich was the Russian actress Maria Antipova. They met while still a student. The marriage lasted eight years, but even the birth of a child did not save the couple from breaking up.
Maxim's second wife is actress Elena Korikova. This union of two hearts lasted ten years.
When Osadchy worked on The Inhabited Island, he struck up a romantic relationship with the main character of the film, Yulia Snigir. They met for two years.
