The return of Vladimir Putin to the Kremlin is accompanied by a record drop in his rating. This was recorded by the leading Russian sociological services - Levada Center and VTsIOM. Research error - up to 3.4%.
The drop in the rating turned out to be rapid. Back in May, 60% of Russians confirmed their favorable opinion about Putin. Today there are less than half of them - 48%. 25% of the respondents expressed their antipathy towards the leader of the state. During the first two terms of Putin's rule, the number of those ranged from 13 to 16%. Only 10% of the population fully trust the president today. In 2008-2010, Vladimir Putin enjoyed the full confidence of 26-28% of Russians.
The president's rating today is at the level of a historical minimum - approximately the same indicators he had in 2005. Then the situation was significantly improved, in 2008 there were 80% of Putin's supporters, and only 10% of his opponents. But today it is obvious that such sky-high heights do not shine more on the rating of the head of state. First of all, because tiredness from Putin has accumulated. The four-year presidency of Dmitry Medvedev did not become a respite. For everyone who closely follows politics, it was clear who is actually behind all the key decisions in the country.
In addition, the era has ended when the acute problems of the state did not affect the rating of Putin himself. For the time being, he managed to personally distance himself from them. But today Russian citizens have complaints against the leader, and they are of an increasingly serious and systemic nature. Enlightened residents of megalopolises - a vital part of the population who knew firsthand about the level of corruption in Russia - were the first to make claims on a massive scale. Today, there is an increase in support for this protest movement, especially against the background of the policy of “tightening the screws”, which Vladimir Putin began to carry out instead of dialogue.
Against the background of the obvious lack of the previous growth in prosperity and the declarative nature of the fight against corruption in Russia, it is not difficult to assume that the protest itself and the level of its support among the population will grow. Accordingly, the level of confidence in the president will continue to decline. The Russian system, which, according to various estimates, is dissatisfied with up to 80% of the country's citizens, is increasingly associated with the name of Vladimir Putin.
