It is believed that a real Teacher can and should be sought throughout life. But it is also widely believed that it is almost impossible to find it on purpose. There is a kind of subtle or mystical connection between the Teacher and the student, which sooner or later will unite them, as soon as the student's level of awareness reaches the desired. Thus, it makes no sense to go in search of a mentor. What do you need?

And every day you need to independently raise your spiritual level more and more. The fact is that one can understand the Teacher only by being with him at the same level of consciousness. Therefore, it is important not to waste time, but to engage in your own self-development. In other words, prepare yourself to meet the Guru.

Suppress your ego. Often a person really wants to meet a mentor, but, having found him, he absolutely cannot work with him or perceive information. The fact is that a person's ego requires complex paths, it wants to be involved, to achieve something. And when the ego hears simple truths, it seems very difficult and incomprehensible to him. It cannot accept words and understand them. Therefore, it is important to clearly understand that you need a Teacher whom you are ready to listen to in everything, and not satisfy your ego with the help of him.

To do this, ask yourself three questions: am I now ready to accept the Teacher and his teaching completely and completely? Am I ready to fulfill all his requests, listen to all the advice, do what he recommends to me? What are my goals in this teaching, what do I want to receive from Master?

If your answers do not turn out to be difficult for you, will reveal the truth that you really need a Teacher, be sure: you will soon be able to meet such a person. If, in your answers, a picture is revealed to you that speaks more about the needs of your ego, and not about the desire to get closer to Knowledge, then you still have a long work ahead of you. Continue on the spiritual path, practice meditation, read books, reflect, and periodically ask yourself these three questions.

Spiritual Master is like friend or love. It cannot be found by submitting a request to the Internet or writing an ad. It is a destiny that will bring you together as soon as you are ready. But it is important to learn to look at their abilities in people, so be careful. While engaging in personal development, do not forget about others, contemplate what is around you and those around you.
Step 7
There is a popular practice of seeking a mentor in the East, India and Tibet. There, the Teacher chooses his student himself, even if you approach him with a request. But, before embarking on such a serious journey, it is important to be prepared internally and fully aware of what is happening. Be pure in your actions and thoughts, and then the real Teacher will surely find you, and you will find him.
