Any person or organization may need material assistance. With requests for financial assistance to the management of the enterprise or to the social security authorities, everything is clear - for such applications, in most cases, there are established forms and templates for writing. But correctly composing a letter about rendering assistance to some outsider is a whole art. Especially if you can't give anything in return except sincere gratitude.
Instructions
Step 1
Get as much information as possible about the person you intend to turn to for help. Gathering information will allow you to choose the optimal tone for writing and select the most effective argumentation, to find "sensitive points". Especially if you intend to turn not to a faceless organization, but to a specific person (for example, a famous artist, businessman or politician). Remember that your task is to interest a potential sponsor in funding in all possible ways.
Step 2
Address a potential sponsor in a letter with the utmost respect, but without excessive flattery and sycophancy. All compliments should be extremely diplomatic. It is best to indicate in the text of the letter specific reasons why you decided to ask for help from this particular sponsor: specific facts, achievements, merits. In short, a detailed list of the reasons why this organization or person has earned your special trust.
Step 3
Indicate the specific amount of money you need and what you need it for. That is, specific goals are detailed. But you shouldn't list the necessary organizational costs. For example, if you intend to ask for financial assistance to open an enterprise where disabled people will work, do not describe in detail the estimated costs in the letter of assistance on items such as renting premises, the salary of the company's accountant, etc. It is unlikely that such a "prose of life" will please a potential sponsor. No one is obliged to open a business for you from scratch, even a socially useful and socially significant one, for their own money.
Step 4
In every possible way, emphasize your honesty and trustworthiness in your letter. Mention that you will be ready at any time to provide the sponsor with all financial statements, up to sales receipts, at his first request. And that he can be absolutely sure that not a single penny of the money provided to him will be wasted by you, or for any other purposes, except for those that you initially indicated in your letter.
