Biography
Eva Polna was born in 1975 in St. Petersburg. Her parents were wealthy enough, and the girl studied at a school with a philological bias, studying foreign languages. Since childhood, she was interested in singing and dancing and especially admired the work of Anna Pavlova and Ella Fitzgerald. In the early 90s, Polna was enrolled in the Academy of Culture and Arts, having received the education of a librarian. Later she also studied at the College of Arts.
In 1994, Polna began performing as a vocalist in the youth group A-2. After some time, she sang solo in various St. Petersburg clubs, performing in a variety of genres. In 1996, the singer met the producer and musician Yuri Usachev, who invited her to become a vocalist in the joint project "Guests from the Future". Eva began not only to sing, but also wrote lyrics for songs, as well as staging shows and sewing stage costumes.
Very quickly the duo released the album "Through Hundreds of Years" in the jungle style little-known in Russia. As a result, it was decided to change direction to pop, and the group presented to the public their first hits, which are still well known: "Run from me", "Kiss in French", "He is a stranger" and many others. Thus, a new album was born, called "Winter in the Heart". In 2003, when the group celebrated its fifth anniversary, the third and last album of the group was released under the title "Behind the Star".
The "Guests from the Future" group continued to give concerts until 2009. In the future, Eva began a solo career, and the very first songs on her behalf brought her a new round of popularity. Among them: "Mirages", "Without parting", "Ships", "I am not you either" and others. Most recently, in 2017, the next album "Phoenix" was released, which included 13 completely new compositions.
Personal life
Eva Polna was targeted by journalists at the very beginning of her career. There were rumors that she is partial to both sexes. In 2001, Eva officially admitted in public that she was bisexual. But this did not stop her from starting the most ordinary relationships with men. For some time she met with the singer Denis Klyaver, from whom she gave birth to an illegitimate child in 2005 - daughter Evelyn.
Two years later, Eva Polna had a daughter, Amalia, from restaurateur Sergei Pilgun. It was he who became the official husband of the singer, but the marriage quickly fell apart due to the couple's busy work schedule. In 2008, rumors circulated in the press again about Polna's romance with singer Anna Pletneva, who dedicated her song "Eva" to her. And lately, Polna has been often noticed together with the concert director Alexandra Mania. It is very likely that the couple even entered into an official marriage in the Netherlands.
