Soviet and Russian singer Olga Zarubina is well known to connoisseurs of vocal and music of the older generation. She had to go through a difficult childhood and troubles in her professional life before winning the sympathy of the audience.
Starting conditions
Whether Heaven became the fault or family circumstances, for some unknown reason, Olga Zarubina faced difficult and sometimes dramatic trials. The future pop singer was born on August 29, 1958 in an ordinary Soviet family. An older brother was already growing up in the house, who was 10 years older. Parents at that time lived in the village of Moskvorechye near Moscow. My father held a leadership position and was considered a wealthy man. He had a private car, which was a rarity at the time. Mother worked as an apparatus operator at a chemical plant. The girl was barely two years old when her father died tragically.
After a while, the mother got married, and a stepfather appeared in the house. A tyrannical and rude man without much hesitation raised his hand against his spouse and children. Olga had to go through several harsh years before she became independent. From an early age, she demonstrated her musical ability. She participated with great desire in school amateur performances. Parents considered it necessary to enroll her in a music school for a piano class. For the first time Zarubina went on stage in a pioneer camp to perform a perky song "Rise up the blue nights with bonfires."
Creative success
Having received a certificate of maturity, the future performer did not even think about seriously connecting her life with the stage. Zarubina, on the advice of her mother, entered a medical school. Two years later, she completed a training course and received a diploma in the profession of "nurse". In her student years, Olga performed as a soloist of the youth vocal and instrumental ensemble. At one of the competitions, she met Vyacheslav Dobrynin. On the recommendation of the master of the Soviet stage, the talented performer was admitted to the Leisya Pesnya group.
Six months later, the singer made her debut on Central Television. Zarubina sang a song about the captain in the program "Sing it, friends!" All-Union fame was brought to her by the song "It should not be like this", which was specially written for Olga by composer David Tukhmanov. After that, the singer began to be invited to perform in the popular television programs "Morning Mail", "Shire Circle" and others. In 1987 Zarubina performed in the finals of the “Song of the Year” TV festival with the song “Music plays on the ship”.
Departure for America and personal life
Zarubina's creative career was very successful. However, in 1991, at one of the concerts, the soundtrack was cut off. Previously, she did not use "plywood". But this time the singer got a sore throat. This minor incident was inflated into a big scandal. Olga simply could not stand the psychological pressure and left for the USA with her husband.
Zarubina's personal life proceeded with varying degrees of success. She got married three times. Her first husband was the now famous singer Alexander Malinin. The couple had a daughter, Cyrus, but the couple soon broke up. The second husband of the singer and a real father for her daughter was producer Vladimir Evdokimov. In 2008, he died of cancer.
In 2007, Zarubina returned to her homeland. For several years she appeared on television and radio. She starred in popular talk shows. Today, for the most part he spends time in a country house, is engaged in a garden and pets.
