It is necessary

Reinforced concrete beams, gravestone elements, shovel, building level, metal tape measure, metal container, cement mortar, rags

Instructions

Step 1

The tombstone should be installed no earlier than a year after the burial, after the soil has settled. Remember that before installing the tombstone, you must present the documents for its purchase to the cemetery administration. The safest way is to entrust the installation of the tombstone elements to specialists who will be responsible for the work done.

Step 2

Installation of tombstone elements includes several types of operations. First of all, it is necessary to plan the surface of the site using a shovel. Next comes the markup for the elements to be installed. A tape measure is required for marking. The next operation is making trenches to install beams that will overlap the grave and rest on the main ground.

Step 3

This is followed by the preparation of a concrete mixture, the device of a concrete pad, the installation of reinforced concrete beams with the alignment of horizontal surfaces.

Step 4

The next stage includes the installation of the pedestal and the alignment of its position, the installation of elements of the flower garden and obelisk. The last stage includes backfilling the soil into the flower garden.

Step 5

Trenches for laying beams are dug along and across the grave. The depth of the trenches is about 20 cm. The trenches are adjusted to the building level. The side walls of the trench and the bottom are compacted.

Step 6

In the trenches prepared in the described way, beams are installed, while the longitudinal ones should have a length of 2.5 m. If the beams are laid across the grave, their length should be 1.3 m. The position of the beams is checked for horizontalness by the building level. The ends of reinforced concrete beams should protrude at least 10 cm beyond the edges of the grave.

Step 7

The preparation of the concrete mixture should be carried out at the place of laying; for this, a metal container is used. A pedestal is then installed on the concrete layer, the position of which is verified by the level. The joints between the pedestal and the base should be sealed with cement mortar.

Step 8

The beam of the flower garden is placed on the beam to cover the grave, located at the feet, or on two longitudinally located beams. After leveling, the beams are fastened with cement mortar. After installation, excess mortar is removed, and all seams are rubbed with a rag.

Step 9

The tombstone obelisk is installed on a pedestal using cement mortar. A metal pin is pre-installed in the hole in the cabinet. The obelisk should be strictly in the vertical plane and be symmetrical with respect to the pedestal. Seams are filled with cement mortar. The final alignment of the position of the obelisk is made with the same building level and measuring tape.
