Nowadays, rap singers are the most popular among rap music lovers, not groups. Among them are both Russian and foreign rappers: Basta, DeCl, St1m, Noize MC, Guf, Legalize, Eminem, Jay-Z, 50 Cent, Dino Mc47. But if we talk about rap groups, the most popular of them are the following Russian teams: "Casta", "Ellipsis" and Centr.
Instructions
Step 1
"Caste"
This quartet is the most popular Russian rap group from Rostov-on-Don. The rap group "Caste" includes Andrey Pasechny (Hamil), Vladislav Leshkevich (Vladi), Mikhail Epifanov (Shym) and Anton Mishenin (Zmey). The creative path of "Caste" is almost 20 years. During this time, 5 solo albums were released, 2 live and 2 reissued. In addition, this rap group was engaged in the release of singles and maxi-singles, as well as copies. Curiously, this rap group was originally intended to be called Fu-Blood-Casta. However, that would be a copy of the name of another hip-hop group, the Wu-Tang Clan. In addition, the English phrase Fu-Blood has a similarity to an obscene Russian phrase. As a result, at the suggestion of rapper Basta, it was decided to name the team "Casta".
Step 2
"Ellipsis"
This is a Russian rap group from Moscow, whose creative path goes back almost 10 years. This rap group is considered one of the most popular in Russia. Critics and fans alike have identified "Ellipsis" with genres such as political rap and gangsta rap (hooligan rap). The unofficial leader of this group and the author of most of the texts is Rustam Alyautdinov (Rustaveli). The last lineup of this rap group included Rustam Alyautdinov, Ilya Kuznetsov, Andrey Tyrnov, Gennady Gromov, Dmitry Korablin, Lasha Imnaishvili and Byacha. It is curious that the group "Ellipsis" has released three music albums for almost 10 years of its existence. It is worth noting that this was originally intended: "Ellipsis" are three dots, so there are only three albums.
Step 3
Centr
This Moscow rap group, formed in 2004, is currently popular, but untimely closed. The Centr group is the winner of the MTV Russia Music Award in the Hip-Hop nomination in 2008. The main themes of the songs of this rap group are various life stories and stories about drugs. Until 2009, this group also included the famous Russian rapper Guf. After he left the group, there were rumors about her breakup, but this did not happen. Until 2012, Centr included David Nuriev (Ptakha) and Vadim Motylev (Slim). The Centr project is currently closed. Initially, this rap group had a Russian name - "Center". However, in 2007, the name changed, since it coincided with the name of the Center group by Vasily Shumov, known in the USSR, Russia and the United States and existing since the late 1970s.
