Biography
Maria Vladimirovna Makarova was born in Krasnodar in 1977. The family of the future singer is very creative: the head of the family is a journalist, mother is a teacher. There are no former journalists, as we know - these are thinking and creative people, and my mother, in addition to teaching foreign languages, writes poetry.
Since childhood, Masha loved to sing and even studied vocals professionally. Then she did everything "for the sake of interest": she worked at a radio station - played music as a DJ, then entered the journalism faculty just to get some kind of education. And all the time she sang something somewhere, because it was the call of the soul.
Since the mid-nineties, Makarova began to cooperate with the Krasnodar groups Makar Dubai and Drynk. At that time, the group "Megapolis" arrived in Krasnodar, and Masha managed to transfer her demo recording to the soloist of the group, Oleg Nesterov. Oleg liked the work of the soloist, and he offered to produce her performances.
So in 1997, three notable events happened in the life of Masha Makarova at once: she began to cooperate with Nesterov, then created the Masha and Bears group, and then finally moved to Moscow. Together with the group, the soloist went to India in search of new creative solutions. And this one came in handy: there they recorded two video clips. One was called "Lyubochka" and was written on the verses of Agnia Barto, however, the text was slightly corrected. The second was called "BT", which stands for "without you."
Both clips immediately became popular, they were played on radio stations and on television. The team of the group was inspired by such success, and soon Masha signed a contract with the recording company "Extraphone" to record a new album. This is how the album "Solntseklesh" has turned out, which at the "Maxidrom" festival received the status of "opening of the year". However, like the group "Masha and the Bears".
After that, the group went on tour, and toured a huge number of cities. Together with the popularity among listeners and fans of the songs of the Masha and Bears collective, they receive a number of awards and occupy top places in the charts.
Unfortunately, the band split up in 2000. In 2004, they reunited to record the album "Without a Language", and the musicians resumed their activities.
After that "Masha and the Bears" released more than one album, and there are many creative ideas in the plans.
Personal life
Maria's first husband is artist Andrey Repeshko. They met when Masha was very young, but a long family life did not work out.
In 2005, Makarova gave birth to two twin girls, whose father she does not like to talk about. In 2010 she gave birth to a son, named him Damir, later changed her name to Nikolai. His father lives near Anapa, in a house that looks like a wigwam, and in the forest and all alone - this is his choice.
Daughters Rosa and Mira are engaged in ballroom dancing.
