In the tenth grade, Vladimir faced a standard dilemma - to continue musical exercises or thoroughly prepare for admission to a higher educational institution. The parents convinced the young man that a career in life must be built on a solid foundation. Following these recommendations, the Devyatov graduate entered the Military Academy of Chemical Defense.
Folk drummer
Fate wanted a student musical group to function at the Academy, where Vladimir entered to get a higher education. The repertoire of the group harmoniously coexisted with folk motives and foreign hits. The first-year student was admitted to the ensemble as a drummer - percussion instrument. After a while, it became obvious that Devyatov was very good at performing folk songs. After graduating from the Academy, he had to work in his specialty, but the stage did not let go of the novice performer.
Vladimir finally gave up his "chemical defense" and entered the Music and Pedagogical Institute. We can say that the creative biography of Vladimir Devyatov began with a victory at the All-Russian competition, where the performers of folk songs were evaluated. On the crest of success, the laureate of the competition creates an ensemble of folk instruments "Folk tunes". The work enthralls him completely. He leads the group and sings vocal parts. Naturally, Russian romances gradually appeared in the performer's repertoire.
