Step 2
Collect the package of documents required to confirm your citizenship. Provide only true information in documents. Citizenship of the Russian Federation can be confirmed by the following documents: passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation; service passport; diplomatic passport; as well as a seaman's passport; passport of a citizen of the USSR, sample 1974, in which the citizenship of the Russian Federation is indicated or there is an insert certifying the citizenship of the Russian Federation, a stamp of registration at the place of residence about permanent residence in the territory of the Russian Federation on 1992-06-02; military ID, testifying to the citizenship of the Russian Federation; birth certificate with an insert confirming the citizenship of the Russian Federation or with information confirming that the parents have Russian citizenship.

Pay the state fee for the verification procedure in order to confirm the citizenship of the Russian Federation and the subsequent issuance of the corresponding document; during the verification, if the need arises, the authorized person can send inquiries to various government agencies in order to verify the correctness of the information you provided.
Step 4
Expect. Your application must be reviewed within 30 days. If necessary, you may be asked to provide missing documents; it will take another 5 days to verify them.
Step 5
The territorial body will issue an opinion based on the results of considering your case on the presence or absence of Russian citizenship.
Step 6
You will receive an appropriate document (if citizenship is not confirmed - a certificate in any form, if confirmed - a passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation).
