Biography
The homeland of Ivan Alekseevich Koscheev is the village of Perevoz, Nolinsky district, Kirov region. The village has a remarkable history. The first name comes from the word "veretya" - a field on a dais - "High Veretya". The modern name stuck and is associated with the word "carriage", which the local peasants often did. This is how they made a living.
On June 1, 1908, a son, Ivan, was born into a family of land-poor peasants. My father, like other "land-poor" people, worked from morning till night in the field, then in the smithy.
Ivan finished four classes of school, he did not have to study further. I had to help my father in everything: in the household, in the smithy, on long trips.
It's time to decide, choose a reliable occupation. My father advised me to become a shoemaker, because they were not in the village. The son followed his father's advice and learned to fix shoes. He skillfully repaired shoes, which was highly regarded in those days. The skills of this profession came in handy for Ivan when he retired. Alevtin's daughter recalls how her father, seeing that she went to throw out her old shoes, offered to “not waste the good”. He fixed everything, the daughter was happy.
Throughout his life, he remained responsible, economic and hardworking. The whole village loved and respected him. And when, at the end of the 30s, collective farms began to be created throughout the country in the village of Perevoz, the industrial collective farm "Udarnik" was formed. Two directions were defined: industrial and agricultural. I. Koscheev became the head of the latter.
Pre-war period
Ivan got down to business with enthusiasm. During the three pre-war years, the agricultural section became a full-fledged independent collective farm. In field cultivation, new methods of growing grain crops and herbs were used. A laboratory was built for the selection of the quality and purity of seeds. The area for industrial and fodder crops expanded every year. Gardens were laid. Livestock breeding developed at a record pace. Cattle farms were built. Pigs and sheep were raised.
I. Koscheev took care of the people working on the collective farm. He encouraged labor shock workers with additional wages, built houses, nurseries and kindergartens for the poor. Youth - a village club, the elderly and orphans - material assistance.
The war of 1941 prevented the implementation of the chairman's further plans.
War period
The entire male population, including I. Koscheev, went to the front. Many did not return.
The "Udarnik" collective farm withstood the war years, continued to work, fulfilled and exceeded plans for the production of agricultural products. Provided food for the military hospital in Kirov and orphanages in Nolinsk. Provided material assistance to the front, transferred money for the production of combat aircraft. Refugees from Latvia and Estonia found shelter in the village of Perevoz.
Post-war life
I. Koscheev returned from the war with a medal "For Courage" and "Order of the Patriotic War of the 1st degree." He got down to business with even greater zeal.
First of all, the chairman thought about how to properly organize rural work. He has assembled an excellent and friendly team. He appointed trusted people as foremen. One of these was his namesake Pavel Ivanovich Koshcheev. He was in charge of the second complex brigade. In the memorable year 1947, they gathered unprecedented grain harvests. Even the capricious corn has grown like a thick wall.
By 1967 the collective farm "Udarnik" had become a powerful producer of agricultural products: meat, milk, eggs and wool. Sowed large areas with different crops. Livestock farms expanded. Sheep of a new breed grazed in the meadows - the Vyatka fine-fleece, bred in the Nolinsky breeding farm. She was distinguished by a high cut of wool. This breed brought the collective farm a high annual profit.
The population of the village was proud of the chairman. He was very adventurous and loved innovation. I was constantly on the lookout. A fishing industry was established in the floodplains of the Voi River. They raised fish for domestic consumption.
On the banks of the Voi River, there was an operating power plant created by A. P. Kultyshev in the 20s of the XX century. The station provided electricity to the village and the collective farm until 1959.
The everyday life of the village was improving. Together they built a new school and a cultural center. A museum of glory was organized in memory of fellow countrymen who died on the battlefields. The collective farm under the leadership of I. Koshcheev did not spare money on educating people. He understood that vocational training is an important factor in the successful organization of work.
By the end of the 70s, the village of Perevoz was the central estate of the Udarnik collective farm, which included 38 small neighboring farms.
The collective farm "Drummer" under the leadership of I. Koscheev fully justified its name. For numerous labor exploits, the collective farm was awarded a commemorative banner.
Chairman's family
Ivan Koscheev had a strong family and a loving wife, who gave him eight children. He built a solid five-walled house that still stands today.
All the children of I. Koscheev received a decent education. They took over from their father and are working in their native village. The eldest daughter conquered two institutes: agricultural and pedagogical.
I. Koscheev died in 1988. Children and grandchildren remember him with pride. They remember how he loved to sing. At all family gatherings he sang the song "Steppe and steppe around …".
Memory of fellow countrymen
There is a museum in Perevoz founded on the initiative of I. Koscheev. It contains everything that is connected with the history of the village, the collective farm, with the people who glorified the village. On the walls there are photographs of Heroes of Socialist Labor: I. A. Koshcheeva, A. F. Kultysheva, P. I. Koshcheeva, E. M. Rubtsova.
The village library has begun work on a local "Book of Memory". The workers painstakingly collect information from the still living home front workers and children of the war.
